| Quote: | Zurai wrote a comment on how to write a photo caption 'ala' photojournalism and what I understood is.................
"Based on my own personal study on newspaper or thru my observation on Bros. Bazuki caption, the first caption is always written in the present tense. Then, an additional sentences normally can be written in present or past tense depending on our publication’s style preferences."
But a standard / general caption is written as such :
(Noun) (verb) (direct object) during (proper event name) at (proper noun location) in (city) on (day of the week), (month) (date), (year). What, Why, Where, When (4's W) or How.

| Quote: | | PJs Tip Of The Day : When covering a speaker (or singer) at a microphone, the first objective is to get the mic out of the person's mouth (or nose). This is best accomplished from the sides. Occasionally, the entire mic can be cropped in-camera. Otherwise, its interference is minimized by the angle. |

One Of A Thousand Places To Learn Photography
|
|
------
| Quote: | FOTOWARUNG is one of a thousand places in cyberspace that we can learn from other great photographers and it's just at our own backyard. If you like photojournalism it's a free place that you can learn from Mr "Art Of Seeing" Bazuki Muhammad, or from others like Kamal Sellehudin or Azhar Mahfof who always make a front page of The Star newspaper. It's not just for a professional photographer even all the beginners are welcome to contribute their work on every topic selected, so why not we utilize it. But again, don't narrow down our choice.. |
Less then 24 hours after I sent my 1st ever in my life photo essay, " LIVING IN FAITH " to Mr Art Chen of The Star, I recived a great feedback from him. Even though my photo essay not make it but I got a good personal lesson when I did it. I want to say thank to FOTOWARUNG by giving me a free lesson on photography + photojournalism . For Mr Art Chen, wait for my 2nd submit entry, "IMAGES OF FAITH" (hope I can do it without any problem as my 1st one).

"The Triangle Heart Of Exposure"
|
|
|
--------
| Quote: | The word of the “exposure triangle” is created by Bryan Peterson thru his book titled ' Understanding Exposure ' which is worth a read if you’re wanting to venture out of the Auto mode on your digital camera and experiment with it’s manual settings. In it Bryan illustrates the three main elements that need to be considered when playing around with exposure by calling them ‘the exposure triangle’. Each of the three aspects of the triangle relate to light and how it enters and interacts with the camera. The three elements are:
1. ISO - the measure of a digital camera sensor’s sensitivity to light
2. Aperture - the size of the opening in the lens when a picture is taken
3. Shutter Speed - the amount of time that the shutter is open
Is it at the intersection of these three elements that an image’s exposure is worked out. Most importantly - a change in one of the elements will impact the others. This means that you can never really isolate just one of the elements alone but always need to have the others in the back of your mind. |
My personal fotofolio is around 70% completed. But for anyone who want to feel the heart beat of what I called "The Triangle Heart Of Exposure", just click here http://www.mohdezuddin.com
